At the core :

The series is based around a single 100W modular LED unit which is fitted with CREE’s powerful Cree® J Series™ 3030 LEDs series   This unit is fan-less, and IP65 rated.  Each module has a blend of LED types (CREE ) to create a powerful spectrum that at the bottom-line does wonders in the grow room.

Each version of the Skyline led grow lights uses a different arrangement of the 100W modules. The design uses high quality LED driver units, and all wiring and connectors are sealed and even water-tight.

 Key Features

1. Advanced Alumimum-Fin heatsink, providing cooling without needing noisy fault prone fans.

2. White – Light .

Our blend appears visually primarily white due to the balance of the output spectrum,

which both the plants and growers both LOVE.

3. The modular structure is industrial grade and highly servicable and upgradable.

4. Heavy-duty adjustable bracket allowing flexibility of wall mounting as well as hanging.

5. Unique design using removable power supply and light source

6. Supplied with a generous 5M cable and mains plug.

 7. Weight 13KG

8. Only using 400w power

Mounting System

The Skyline includes a heavy duty bracket built into the side of the unit.  This is allows the unit to be wall mounted very securely.

The bracket can be adjusted into one of three different fixed locations to allow side or tilted mounting.

Very quickly rising to the top of our hot list, the Skyline is a masive performer.  The combination of stealth-bomber looks and large surface area of powerful LED point sources set the scene and follow up with explosive results in the growing phase, huge flowering and unbelievable yields of rock solid sticky buds.  With the high yielding varieties, or anything for that matter, this lamp can really drive them beyond expectation.

Real-world results are important to us, and this lamp definately is a massive move in the right direction.  But of course we’ve also put the final setup through the usual barrage of tests to characterise its performance and give you the figures you’ll want to know.

PPF is photosynthetic photon flux. PPF measures the total amount of PAR that is produced by a lighting system each second. This measurement is taken using a specialized instrument called an integrating sphere that captures and measures essentially all photons emitted by a lighting system. The unit used to express PPF is micromoles per second (μmol/s). This is probably the second most important way of measuring a horticulture lighting system, but, for whatever reason, most lighting companies don’t list this metric. It is important to note that PPF does not tell you how much of the measured light actually lands on the plants, but is an important metric if you want to calculate how efficient a lighting system is at creating PAR.

PPFD is photosynthetic photon flux density. PPFD measures the amount of PAR that actually arrives at the plant, or as a scientist might say: “the number of photosynthetically active photons that fall on a given surface each second”. PPFD is a ‘spot’ measurement of a specific location on your plant canopy, and it is measured in micromoles per square meter per second (μmol/m2/s). If you want to find out the true light intensity of a lamp over a designated growing area (e.g. 4’ x 4’), it is important that the average of several PPFD measurements at a defined height are taken. Lighting companies that only publish the PPFD at the center point of a coverage area grossly overestimate the true light intensity of a fixture. A single measurement does not tell you much, since horticulture lights are generally brightest in the center, with light levels decreasing as measurements are taken towards the edges of the coverage area. (Caveat Emptor: Lighting manufacturers can easily manipulate PPFD data. To ensure you are getting actual PPFD values over a defined growing area, the following needs to be published by the manufacturer: measurement distance from light source (vertical and horizontal), number of measurements included in the average, and the min/max ratio). Fluence always publishes the average PPFD over a defined growing area at a recommended mounting height for all of our lighting systems.

10 reviews for Skyline 800 led grow lights full spectrum

  1. I used marshydro led and they rubbish for growing but they all over the place, on amazon, ebay and on some other website.
I have tested many and there only 2 that I use budmaster and ledhydroponics.
ledhydroponics are cheaper then budmaster and dose the same on grow.
my tent is 2.4×2.4 and I got 1 budmaster led and 3 x skyline.
I get better yield then when I used 4 x 600w hps , for first time I hade very good grow this summer.
never going back to hps but each to his own mate.

  2. The skyline is boom led lights. I just ordered my 2nd one.
Skyline 800w only use 400w and kick my 600w sodium lights in yield.
    my electricity bill is down.
Also very good customer service, the man i spoke to know his growing and got good advice.

  3. Quality bit of kit
My new Skyline 800w has just been delivered. First impressions: This is a sturdy, well manufactured unit. Meanwell HLG-240H-36A drivers, Cree XT-E, passive cooling. All cabling, connectors and fasteners are of a high quality. Extremely robust frame. If I dropped my old MarsHydro reflector 192, it would likely be in multiple pieces and non operational. This would put a hole in the floor.

  4. Super satisfied with my light so I really like to take my time to review it, This arrived packed so carefully and in perfect condition! Very nice Cree LED array at a reasonable price, much cooler than my hps, my indoor plants responded quickly and show amazing growth under this light. This does not produce much heat and 100% silent. Great customer service You will not be disappointed.

  5. Quality LED
This is the best Led I have seen, it oozes quality. The spectrum is very easy on the eyes, as well as good for the plants. I highly recommend this light to anyone planning to switch to Led. Nice one Muddy, thanks for the great product and excellent service

  6. Hello
    Quick question!
When can I start to use these lights?
    From seed, from seedlings?
    Do I need reflectors?
    What is the coverage?

    • Hi Gordon
You can use this my led from seed to harvest.
You dont need reflector or anything else, just plug in and its ready to grow.
Skyline 800 will cover 6x6ft but for high yield 5x5ft (1.5×1.5m)
just ask if you need more info.

  7. (verified owner)

    Bought 2 800 led units
What distance should there be :-
    LED Unit v Plant
Only ever used 600 hps before.

    • Hi Gordon
Best keep them 2ft (60cm) in vegetation and 18″ (45cm).
Plants can go to 6″(15cm) and it wont burn or damaged the buds.
Just ask if you need more info. you can call or whatapp me on 00447967109663

  8. Would two 800s cover a 2x2x2 grow tent? Thanks

    • They can but if it was my grow I will use 4 x skyline 800 and get a bigger yield.
Email me at muddy@ledhydroponics.co.uk and We give a discount for 4 units

  9. Hi mate. Does your skyline get delivered in plain cardboard boxes. Or is it advertised on the box what it is. Thankyou

    • They are in plain brown box.

  10. Hi Muddy,

I am considering the skyline 800 as a replacement for my 600 HPS – which i am currently having heat problems with. will i see a considerable improvement in heat going from 600 W HPS to 800 W Skyline LED?

    • There minimal heat from skyline 800, it will be 3c above room temperature and the skyline 800 only use 400w power.
